Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • Oyster Mushrooms 500 Grams


  • Potato 500 Grams


  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tablespoon


  • Garam Masala 2 teaspoon


  • Chana Masala 2 teaspoon


  • Chilli powder 1 teaspoon


  • 2 medium to big onions


  • 4 medium to big ripe tomatoes


  • Turmeric 1 teaspoon


  • Oil 4 tablespoon


  • Curd 1 cup

Directions

  • This is a thick gravy for mixing with rice and eat.
  • Do not add water to the gravy. The water from tomatoes and the water released by mushroom is sufficient
  • Boil potatoes till its cooked but not mushy. Drain
  • Add oil and when its hot add onion and ginger garlic paste and saute.
  • When the onion is cooked, add pureed tomatoes and let it saute for 3 minutes
  • Add garam chole masalas chilli powder turmeric and cook till tomato thickens
  • When its thick add potatoes and salt and mix for a minute. Add curd.
  • Mix for a minute and add Oyster mushrooms and mix
  • Oyster mushroom must be washed and squeezed so that it doesn't release lot of water and make the gravy watery
  • Mix the gravy and oyster mushroom. Water will be released by mushroom. Cook for five minutes and turn off the gas. Or till you think the gravy and mushroom is in form
  • Tasty oyster mushroom gravy ready to eat with rice.
  • This is a best alternative to chicken gravy. Slow cooking this gravy tastes great.
  • Do not use chicken curry or any other masals. Wait 30 minutes and have the gravy with hot rice
